AI and Prompt Engineers

I have been speaking with many people lately about AI and Prompt Engineers.  These folks are enthusiastic about AI, and we have had numerous conversations about how much AI is influencing our daily lives and how rapidly it is transforming our society. During one of our conversations, we discussed the new and emerging role of the “prompt engineer”.  Some automated prompt engineers that you may have heard of recently are ChatGPT, Rytr! and Jasper. If you haven’t heard of the term prompt engineer, let me enlighten you a little 🙂

A Prompt Engineer is an emerging role in the world of copywriting. This unique position combines software engineering, data science, and creative writing to create content that is not only accurate but also optimized for SEO. With the help of AI-powered tools, Prompt Engineers can quickly analyze existing content and suggest improvements or create completely new content that can be used to boost online visibility.  By leveraging machine learning and natural language processing technologies, Prompt Engineers are able to save time and energy while creating compelling digital content.

With the help of prompt engineers, creating compelling digital content has never been easier. Prompt engineers are specially designed to save time and energy for creators by providing them with a database of pre-written text to quickly generate ideas.  They can be used to create blog posts, social media posts, articles, emails and more with just a few clicks.  Whether you are an individual or part of a team, prompt engineers make creating digital content quicker and more efficient than ever before.

There are awesome prompt engineer apps available out there that can help you to generate ideas, be more creative and increase your efficiency!  If you are looking for ChatGPT, I will warn you that at the time of writing this post, ChatGPT has reached capacity so you might not be able to download as yet!  The steps however to download ChatGPT are:

  1. Open com,Register an account and log in (if you have an account, log in directly)
  2. Click ChatGPT on the bottom left
  3. Click Try it now at openai.com.
  4. Enter the question you need to query in the input box at the bottom

I personally prefer to use Ryter.com and have found it very helpful in moving my writing along. I tend to be a business writer, who is tempted to state facts and not expand upon them. Ryter helps draw attention to the fact that some items need to be expanded on, and also prompts me with ideas. As an educator, I am very conscious of the argument that using prompt engineers either lead somewhat to plaigarism, or detract from the learning process in developing writing skills. I actually disagree with both, since it is pretty clear that humanizing the written word is still very important, and it is easy to assess when that is missing! I feel I have become a better in my writing in that the prompt engineer generates ideas for me to consider in ensuring that I write what I really want to say! I would like to suggest some other suggested prompt engineers that I have heard about, Promptly and promptoMANIA. You may also want to check out Prompt which is an important keyword analyzer.
